- MRS. FREDERICK CHESTER WARNER (ANNA NELLIE HARRINGTON), of Wakefield, Mass., elected an annual member 6 Jan. 1942, was born in Mound City, Kans., 24 Feb. 1886, daughter of Rev. Myron Oscar and Mary Electa (Smith) Harrington, and died in Stoneham, Mass., 23 Sept. 1945.
- Mrs. Warner was descended from Robert1 Harrington, who died in Watertown, Mass., in 1707 at the age of 91, and Susanna George; through Daniel2, 1657-1728 and Sarah Whitney; Daniel3, 1683-1723, of Marlboro, Mass., and Elizabeth Warren; Isaac4, 1709-1782, of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Miriam Eager; Antipas5, 1753-1803, of Walpole, N.H., and Levinah Brigham; Antipas6, 1780-1851, of Kirby, Vt., and Esther Smith; Levi7, 1808-1873, and Mary Atline Houghton; and Rev. Myron Oscar8, 1842-1921, and Mary Electa Smith.
- Mrs. Warner came from Kansas to Massachusetts and graduated from the Amherst high school in 1905. She received the degree of A.B. from Washburn College, Topeka, Kansas, in 1910 and afterward graduated from the Chautauqua Library School at Chautauqua, N. Y. From 1910 to 1914 she aqw assistant librarian at Washburn College.
- She traveled extensively in Scotland, England, and Norway, and on the Pacific Coast, and on 21 June 1914, in Topeka, married Frederick C. Warner of Sunderland, Mass. They had four children, Samuel Merton, Freda Jean, Albert Chester, and John Levi.
- Mrs. Warner was a member of the First Congregational Church in Wakefield and active in Parish work. She was leader of Group Seven of the Federated Women's Societies and taught in the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Kosmos Club, Faneuil Hall Chapter, D.A.R. and Washburn College Alumnae Association and president of the Gray Family Association.
