Whitney, Abner (Mass). Private in Lexington Alarm, April, 1775; Corporal in Gerrish's Massachusetts Regiment, May to December, 1775; Sergeant 26th Continental Infantry, 1st January to 31st December, 1776; Ensign 9th Massachusetts, 1st January, 1777; resigned 15th December, 1777.

Whitney, Benjamin (Vt). Lieutenant Vermont Militia in 1777 and 1778.

Whitney, Francis (Md). 1st Lieutenant of Grayson's Continental Regiment, 28th May, 1777; retired 22d April, 1779.

Whitney, Henry (R. I.). Paymaster of Sherburne's Continental Regiment, [p.590] 13th November, 1777; resigned 13th April, 1779.

Whitney, Jonathan (Conn). 1st Lieutenant 8th Connecticut, 1st January, 1777; resigned 10th March, 1778.

Whitney, Josiah (Mass). Lieutenant-Colonel of Whitcomb's Massachusetts Regiment, May to December, 1775; Colonel Massachusetts Militia in 1776 and 1777. (Died 1806.)

Whitney, Joshua (Conn). Private 3d Connecticut, 19th May to 13th November, 1775; Sergeant in Elmore's Continental Regiment, April, 1776, to April, 1777; Sergeant 8th Connecticut, 19th April, 1777; Ensign, 30th December, 1777; 2d Lieutenant, 31st December, 1777; 1st Lieutenant, 21st August, 1780; transferred to 5th Connecticut, 1st January, 1781; transferred to 3d Connecticut, 1st January, 1783; retained in Swift's Connecticut Regiment, June, 1783, and served to November, 1783.

Whitney, Josiah (Conn). Sergeant of Burrall's Continental Regiment, January, 1776; Ensign, 19th September, 1776, to January, 1777.

Whitney, Levi (Mass). Private in Lexington Alarm, April, 1775; 1st Lieutenant of Prescott's Massachusetts Regiment, May to December, 1775; Lieutenant Massachusetts Militia, 1777.
