I had intended to waite till we hear from you before I write to you, but Ma says better write a few lines Tilde may be feeling so bad that she cant write, well I dont know myself what to write, we was struck so bad with that sad news from Your loss that we are all out of shape, we would as much expect the heavens fall down then hear that poor dear Mable was taken off, we know by Your last letter that the children been sick and got well again and you was just en joying the long expected visit from your good Sister Fanny when here comes that terrible news Well Tilde while we know by expearence how parents feel when they loose a dear, good, beloved and grown up child. We know too it wont do to despair perticular for a good Christian ho knows God in his wisdom knows better what is good for us, she may be spared many a hard trial and sorrow in this pitifull life of ouers you know the scripture says: mens life last 60 to 70 years and if it does last longer the most of it has been work & sorrow, of course it takes time to heal a sore I know you feel like their was a piece cut out of your body and their is a empty place a dear face missing O dear Children Hugh & Tilde their is no use in tal- king I know it takes time to heel such wounds, but you own it to them what is left to rouse up and shake yourself. pray to the allwise father to give you strength and in his goodness he will not fail to do so and now I would say: We do not know exactly houn you are situa- ted and if dear Hugh has to go off again or not, but if you could arrange it between you we would most earnestly advise you to come home with your children we are willing to do all we can for you, for we think it will do you much good and we are all alone as you know. It is very hot for quite a while but their is no sickness around that I know of we are usually well so is Will and familie, Ella Jerry & Baby all well all send their love & regrit to you I am so exited and nervus that I cant think of any more may God help & reasure you.
