He married, 27 Mar 1807, Lucy Perkins. She was born about 1785, ME, and died after 1850.

They resided Castine, Maine.

v.	William Cutler Whitney, born 20 Jul 1815; died 30 Sep 1816.
vi.	Charles Whitney, born 29 Oct 1817; drowned Penobscot Bay, 1 Oct 1831.
vii.	Samuel Austin Whitney, born -----; married Ann E. Auld, and died s.p., New Orleans, Louisiana, 28 Oct 1850.
viii.	John Perkins Whitney, born 20 Jan 1820. He died unmarried at New Orleans, Louisiana, 11 Aug 1839.
ix.	Frances Whitney, born 3 Apr 1823; married 7 Oct 1847, Leonard J. Whiting; 2 ch. She married 2d, 1 May 1859, Samuel K. Whiting; 3 ch.
x.	Sarah Whitney, born 15 Jun 1825; died 2 Apr 1842.
xi.	Phebe Whitney, born 11 May 1829.
