Martin A.⁸ Whitney (Leonard⁷, Lemuel⁶, Lemuel⁵, Lemuel⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Leonard⁷ and Sarah (Ayer) Whitney, was born 18 Jul 1838, Sherburne, VT, and died 7 Nov 1911, Hillsborough, NH, aged 73 years 3 months 9 days, of pneumonia. He was buried in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Hillsborough, NH.^[1]

He married, 10 Mar 1859, Townsend, MA, Nancy E. Rand, daughter of Edgar and Miranda (Sutton) Rand.^[2] She was born 6 Jan 1834, Mont Vernon, NH, and died 1923, Hillsborough, NH.

He resided Mont Vernon, Hillsborough, Upper Village, NH.
