Charles7 Whitney (Amos6, Abraham5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Amos6 and Martha (Priest) Whitney, was born 11 Feb 1812, Waltham, MA,[1] and died 29 Jul 1850, Cambridge, MA, aged 38 years.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 28 Dec 1838, Cambridge, MA, for him and Carollne F. Stimson "of Waltham".[3] Marriage intentions were published 29 Dec 1838, Waltham, MA, for him "of Cambridgeport" and Caroline F. Stimson.[4] He married, 26 Jan 1839, Caroline Fuller Stimson, daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Fuller) Stimpson.[5] She was born 20 Aug 1816, Needham, MA, and died 10 May 1872, Cambridge, MA, aged 55 years 8 months 20 days, of dropsy. She married secondly, 16 Nov 1854, Cambridge, MA, Nathan Russell, of Cambridge, b. ca. 1798, Lexington, MA, son of Nathan Russell.[6]

Whitney, b. 3 Jan 1843, Waltham or Cambridge, MA; d. 4 May 1909, Cambridge, MA, aged 66 years 4 months 1 day, of cerebral hemorrhage;[9] m. 18 Feb 1868, Cambridge, MA, Emma Sargent Barber,[10] b. 20 Nov 1843,[11] Cambridge, MA, d. 28 Dec 1888, Cambridge, MA, dau. of John N. and Susan (Sargent) Barbour.[12] Children:
a. Clara Mabel9 Whitney, b. 22 Feb 1871, Cambridge, MA;[13] m. 8 Jun 1898, Cambridge, MA, Arthur S. Pevear, b. ca. 1872, Lynn, MA, son of Warren and Mary (Gulager) Pevear.[14]
b. Chester Whitney, b. 29 Jun 1874, Cambridge, MA;[15] d. 31 Jul 1874, Cambridge, MA, aged 1 month 2 days, of bronchitis.[16]
c. Charles Fuller Whitney, b. 22 Jan 1879, Cambridge, MA;[17] m. 10 Jun 1903, Brookline, MA, Ethel Putnam Sargent, b. ca. 1881, Haverhill, MA, dau. of Edward F. and Hannah E. (Stott) Sargent.[18] He was a civil engineer, and in 1903 lived at 100 Chestnut St., Cambridge, MA.
d. Alice E. Whitney, b. 6 Aug 1880, Cambridge, MA;[19] d. 12 Aug 1880, Cambridge, MA, aged 8 daus, of premature birth.[20]
iii. Clara Maria Whitney, b. 4 Jan 1845, Cambridge, MA;[21] d. 29 Sep 1849, Cambridge, MA, aged 2 years 9 months.[22]
iv. Ella C. Whitney, b. 15 Mar 1847, Cambridge, MA;[23] d. 17 Jan 1907, Cambridge, MA, aged 59 years 10 months 2 days, of cerebral hemorrhage and paresis; unmarried.[24]
v. Frank E. Whitney, b. 28 Oct 1850, Cambridge, MA;[25] m. 6 Oct 1880, Cambridge, MA, Isabel E. Billman, b. ca. 1850, Boston, dau. of John and Mary (-----) Billman.[26]
