Isaac5 Whitney (Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1, ThomasA), son of Ens. Lemuel4 and Sibel (--?--) Whitney was born after 9 Apr 1738 at Stow, MA; b. 25 May 1747 at Stow, MA[1] and died after 1789[2],[3] his estate was probated 5 May 1755 at Stow, MA; Sibil Whitney of Stow, widow, was appointed guardian of Isaac Whitney, in the 8th year of his age, son of Lemuel Whitney, late of Stow, deceased, and posted bond, with Abraham Whitney, yeoman, of Stow, as surety.
Isaac married Lydia Taylor, daughter of Solomon and Mary (--?--) Taylor, 13 Oct 1774 at Stow, MA.
He His father's estate probated 5 May 1755 Stow, Middlesex, MA; Sibil Whitney of Stow, widow, was appointed guardian of Isaac Whitney, in the 8th year of his age, son of Lemuel Whitney, late of Stow, deceased, and posted bond with Abraham Whitney, yeoman, of Stow, as surety.**Robert Ward, in his 6-Generation descent from John and Elinor, adds two other sons, both born in Ashburnham, Worcester, MA; Isaac, son of Isaac and _____, born 28 Jan 1787, and David, son of Isaac and _____, born 14 Mar 1789. There is a gap of 8 years, the wife's name is not given, and there are no other records of this family (deaths, marriages etc.) in the Ashburnham Vital Records.
Lydia Taylor was born on 10 Feb 1752 at Stow, MA. She died on 24 Mar 1843 at Canaan, NH, at age 91; aged 91 years.
