William Perse⁶ Whitney (Micah⁵, Abel⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Micah⁵ and Hannah (Cobb) Whitney; born 3 May 1783, Maine; married firstly, Sarah Frank, and secondly, 27 Oct 1823, Phillips, Maine, Nancy I. Carlton. She died Marysville, Kansas. He died in Illinois, 30 Dec 1865; resided Maine.

i.	Hiram Elias7 Whitney, born -----; married -----; was a physician; resided in Shellsborough, Iowa.
ii.	Nancy Perse Whitney, born -----; married ----- Kenyon; resided Sycamore, Illinois.
iii.	Sally Whitney, born -----; married ----- Quimby; resided Phillips, Maine.
iv.	George W. Whitney, born -----; married and resided Marysville, Kansas.
