Cornelius6 Whitney (William5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), b. Salisbury, Connecticut, 31 Dec 1753; m. 1775 Hetty Green. He was in the Revolutionary war, and in 1809 sold land in Sheffield. He d. Nov. 6, 1829; res. Canaan and Sheffield, Connecticut.
i. Ruluff Dutcher7 Whitney]], born Maar. 3, 1794; married Bathsheba Fuller. ii. Everett Whitney, born 1800; married and resided East Pembroke, New York, leaving son, Alphonso, who resided in Salisbury, Connecticut.
