  A Francis Whitney whom I have been unable to place, but probably this one, married Mary ----- and resided in Natick, MA.  Their child, Frances, d. there Apr. 30, 1819, aged 8 months, and was interred in the South Natick grave yard.{{ref|3}}  Francis name is not found, however, on the Natick town or church records or tax lists.

Francis6 Whitney (Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Ezekiel6 and Ruth (Gilbert) Whitney, was born 23 Apr 1771, Watertown, MA, and died after 1820.

He "of Watertown" married, 24 Nov 1811, Dover, MA,[1] Mary Marshall, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Morse) Marshall. She was born 9 May 1792, Natick, MA, and died 25 Feb 1872, Boston, MA, aged 79 years 7 months, of old age and inflammation of parotid gland.[2]

Children of Francis6 and Mary (Marshall) Whitney, probably incomplete:

i. Mary7 Whitney, b. 16 Jul 1812, Needham, MA; m. 14 Dec 1843, Roxbury, MA, Joseph L. Libby.
ii. Abigail Harris Whitney, b. 10 Jul 1814, Needham, MA; m. 3 Sep 1833, Medfield, MA, Elbridge Gerry Perry.[3]
iii. Lydia F. Whitney, b. about Mar 1817, Sudbury, MA; d. 17 Apr 1876, Norfolk, MA, aged 59 years 1 month, of cancer in stomach;[4] m. 30 Mar 1837, Medfield, MA, Jotham Davis Morse,[5] as his first wife.
iv. Francis Whitney, b. about 6 Aug 1818; d. 30 Apr 1819, Natick, MA, aged 8 months 24 days.[6]
