Family:Whitney, Sarah (1716-1756)

Sarah⁵ Whitney (Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), daughter of Moses⁴ and Lydia (Taylor) Whitney, was born 29 Sep 1716, Littleton, MA,^[1] and died 22 Sep 1756, Lunenburg, MA.^[2]

She married, 11 Jun 1734, Littleton, MA, Jonathan Wood "of Stow",^[3] son of John and Sarah (Kimball) Wood. He was born 7 Jan 1709/10, Bradford, MA, and died 1 Apr 1779, Lunenburg, MA. He married secondly, 19 Apr 1757, Lunenburg, MA, Sarah Gary.

Pierce says the following:^[4]

SARAH [WHITNEY], b. Sept. 29, 1716; m. June 11, 1734, Jonathan WOOD, of Stow. Ch.: John, Barnabas, and Mehitable, who m. Col. Ebenezer BRIDGE, of Fitchburg.

i.	Bezaliel Wood, b. 4 Apr 1735; d. 9 Jul 1758, Lunenburg, MA.
ii.	Jonathan Wood, b. 8 Oct 1738; d. 9 Oct 1758, Lunenburg, MA.
iii.	Mehitabel Wood, b. 23 Dec 1741; d. 20 Jul 1825, Hartland, VT; m. 3 Nov 1763, Framingham, MA, Col. Ebenezer Bridge.
iv.	John Wood, b. 2 Feb 1743; d. 5 Jul 1799, Jaffrey, NH; m. 24 Nov 1767, Lunenburg, MA, Sarah Thurston.
v.	Barnabas Wood, b. 21 May 1746; b. before 12 Jul 1774; m. 10 Sep 1767, Lunenburg, MA, Sarah Holt.
vi.	Sarah Wood, b. 29 Nov 1748; d. 23 Jul 1749, Lunenburg, MA.
vii.	Sarah Wood, b. 26 Sep 1751; d. 20 Sep 1756, Lunenburg, MA.
