Cornelius6 Whitney (William5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of William5 and Arcoucher (Dutcher) Whitney; born Salisbury, Connecticut, 31 Dec 1753; married 1775 Hetty Green. He was in the Revolutionary war, and in 1809 sold land in Sheffield. He died 6 Nov 1829; resided Canaan, Connecticut, and Sheffield, Massachusetts.
Children of Cornelius6 and Hetty (Green) Whitney:
i. Ruluff Dutcher7 Whitney, born 3 Mar 1794; married Bathsheba Fuller. ii. Everett Whitney, born 1800; married and resided East Pembroke, New York, leaving son, Alphonso, who resided in Salisbury, Connecticut.
