Eli Martin8 Whitney (Eli7, Jacob6, Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Eli7 and Sally (Locke) Whitney, was born about 1809 (calculated from age at marriage) or about 2 Dec 1807 (calculated from age at death), Lexington, MA, and died 11 Nov 1872, West Roxbury, MA, aged 64 years 11 months, 9 days, of pneumonia.[1]
He married firstly, Sally -----.
He married secondly, 9 Feb 1845, Roxbury, MA, Catherine (Richards) -----,[2] daughter of Eliakim Richards. She was born about 1813, MA, and died after 1870.
He was a clerk.
