Zachariah Whitney (Walter, Walter, Walter, Theophilus), son of Walter and Caroline (Cross) Whitney, born 17 May 1851, Pentwynmawr Clydach Iron Works, near Llanelly, Breconshire. His birth was registered in the Crickhowell district.
He married Laurette / Loretta Horton. She was born circa 1857, PA.
In 1880 he was listed as a miner.
