Hiram H.⁶ Whitney (Henry⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Henry⁵ and Abigail (Walker) Whitney, was born 8 Sep 1815, Chesterville, ME, and died 6 Jul 1870, Melrose, MA.

He married, 22 Mar 1842, Boston, MA, or 21 Mar 1843, Boston, MA, Susan P. Lunt,^[1] daughter of Joshua and Abigail (Freese) Lunt. She was born 10 Jul 1814, Stillwater, ME, and died 1 Dec 1895, Lowell, MA, aged 81 years 4 months 21 days, of senile anaemia.^[2]

He was a merchant. He resided Boston and Melrose, MA.
