Otis Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 1802,[1] MA, and died in 1851.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 10 Aug 1826, Stow, MA, for him and Mary Puffer, "wid.".[3] He married 15 Oct 1826, Sudbury, MA, Mary (Lovering) Puffer,[4] daughter of Jonas and Mary (How) Lovering, and the widow of Jacob Puffer of Stow. She was born 5 Sep 1796,[5] and died 14 Feb 1869, Somerville, MA.
