Elijah5 Whitney (Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Abraham4 and Sarah5 (Whitney) Whitney; born 15 Feb 1754, Harvard, Massachusetts; died 6 Jan 1834, Bolton, MA, aged 79 years.
He married 14 Apr 1772, Bolton, Massachusetts, Sarah Stearns, daughter of Benjamin and Dinah (Wheeler) Stearns. She was born 29 Dec 1751, Bolton, Massachusetts; died 3 Oct 1812, Bolton, Massachusetts, aged 59 years.
He was a farmer. In 1779 he purchased a farm and settled in Bolton, Massachusetts, where his wife died.
He resided Bolton and Lancaster, Massachusetts.

iii. Dinah Whitney, born 23 Sep 1776; married Nov.27, 1800, Benjamin W. Worcester of Bolton, Massachusetts. - Ch.: Daniel, Arad, Luke, Samuel, Alice, Horace, and an infant child.
iv. Samuel Whitney, born 10 Sep 1778; married Lucy Handley. v. Elijah Whitney, born 25 Feb 1781; resided Charlestown, Massachusetts, died 18 May 1866. vi. Daniel Whitney, born 10 Feb 1783; died bef. 1860. vii. Abraham Whitney, born 17 Apr 1785; resided Shirley, Massachusetts. viii. Alice Whitney, born 1 Sep 1787; died 9 May 1860, Bolton, Massachusetts, aged 72 years, unmarried. R. M. Priest was administrator of her estate, 2 Apr 1861.
