Hiram⁶ Whitney (Henry⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Henry⁵ and Abigail (Walker) Whitney; born 8 Sep 1815, Chesterville, Maine; married in Boston, 22 Mar 1842, Susan P. Lunt; born 10 Jul 1814. He was a merchant. He died 6 Jul 1870; resided Boston and Melrose, Massachusetts.

Children of Hiram⁶ and Susan P. (Lunt) Whitney:

i.	Charles Sumner7 Whitney, born 31 May 1856; resided Miles City, Montana.
ii.	Edward H. Whitney, born 22 Jan 1845; married Emma L. Williams.
iii.	Ella Whitney, born ----- ; married ----- Chadbourne; resided 35 W. Vernon Street, Lowell, Massachusetts.
