James6 Whitney (Samuel5, Abraham4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel5 and Anne (Guire) Whitney, was born 28 Jun 1799, St. John, NB, and died 10 Jul 1858, St. John, NB.

He married, 2 Feb 1826, St. John, NB, Henrietta Alexis Williams, daughter of Thomas and Anna Maria (-----) Williams. She was born 22 Aug 1805, Annapolis, NS, and died 26 Jul 1873, Sussex Vale, NB.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a shipping merchant . . . . He . . . was buried in St John. She . . . was buried in the Church of England burying-ground in St John."

Child of James6 and Henrietta Alexis (Williams) Whitney:
