Isaac5 Whitney (Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Ens. Lemuel4 and Sibel (-----) Whitney, was born 25 May 1747, Stow, MA,[1] and died after 1789.[2]
On 5 May 1755, Stow, MA, Sibil Whitney of Stow, widow, was appointed guardian of Isaac Whitney, in the 8th year of his age, son of Lemuel Whitney, late of Stow, deceased, and posted bond, with Abraham Whitney, yeoman, of Stow, as surety.
He married, 13 Oct 1774, Stow, MA, Lydia Taylor, daughter of Solomon and Mary (-----) Taylor. She was born 10 Feb 1752, Stow, MA, and died 24 Mar 1843, Canaan, NH, aged 91 years.
Pierce says the following:[3]
- He was in the Revolutionary war in the company commanded by Capt. Cranston from Stow. In 1779 his age was given as 32.

i. Esther6 Whitney, b. 12 Jun 1775, Stow, MA; b. 12 Jun 1775, Canaan, NH. ii. Solomon Whitney, b. 25 Nov 1776, Stow, MA. iii. Rachel Whitney, b. 25 Aug 1779, Stow, MA.
