He married, about 1855, Clara/Caroline L. Corey, daughter of Amos and Nancy (Kentfield) Corey. She was born about 1834, Bath, NH, and died 25 May 1912, Barton, NH.[2] She is listed as "Virginia L. Whitney" in the 1900 census.
