William J.8 Whitney (James7, Nathaniel6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of James7 and Susan (Jones) Whitney, was born 6 Oct 1833, Standish, ME, and died 25 Oct 1920, Standish, ME. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Standish, ME.[1]
Intentions of marriage were filed 4 June 1858, and certified 12 June 1858, Harrison, ME, for him and, Lydia Jane Rand, both of Standish,[2] daughter of John and Nancy Knowles (Higgins) Rand. She was born 26 Jan 1837, ME, Standish, ME, and died after 1900.
