He married firstly, 23 Aug 1832, NY, Arathusa Sawtell, daughter of Henry Sawtell. She was born 9 Dec 1809, VT, and died 23 Aug 1871, Green Ridge, MO.

He married secondly, 18 Mar 1874, Pettis Co., MO, Lucy A. Smith. She may have died before 1880.
