Joseph8 Whitney (Joseph7, William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Joseph7 and Hannah (Perley) Whitney, was born 10 Oct 1800, Winchendon, MA,[1] and died 10 Mar 1885, Winchendon, MA, aged 84 years 5 months, of old age, farmer.[2]

He "Jr." married firstly, 30 Oct 1821, Winchendon, MA, Abigail Flint.[3] She 17 Dec 1837, aged 36 years.[4]

He "Jr." married secondly, 3 Jan 1842, Winchendon, MA, "Mrs." Charlotte H. (Flint) Nutting,[5] daughter of Nathan and Polly (Brown) Flint. She was born 5 Jan 1802, Winchendon, MA, died 7 Oct 1882, Winchendon, MA, aged 80 years 9 months 3 days, of typhoid dysentery.[6] She had married firstly, 16 Jan 1828, William Nutting (1801-?).
