Samuel6 Whitney (Elijah5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Elijah5 and Sarah (Stearns) Whitney, was born 10 Sep 1778, Bolton, MA,[1] and died 29 Jul 1868, Bolton, MA, aged 89 years 10 months 6 days, of bilious fever and old age.[2]

He married, 1 Sep 1807, Acton, MA, Lucy Handley "both of Acton",[3] daughter of Charles and Alice (Sartell) Handley/Henley. She was born 14 Oct 1788, Acton, MA, and died 15 Nov 1874, New Bedford, MA, aged 86 years, of paralysis, resided 68 Fourth Street.[4]

He was a cooper by trade, but followed farming most of his life. He resided Bolton, MA.
