Family:Whitney, Samuel (1778-1868)

Samuel⁶ Whitney (Elijah⁵, Abraham⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of Elijah⁵ and Sarah (Stearns) Whitney, was born 10 Sep 1778, Bolton, MA,^[1] and died 29 Jul 1868, Bolton, MA, aged 89 years 10 months 6 days, of bilious fever and old age.^[2]

He married, 1 Sep 1807, Acton, MA, Lucy Handley "both of Acton",^[3] daughter of Charles and Alice (Sartell) Handley/Henley. She was born 14 Oct 1788, Acton, MA, and died 15 Nov 1874, New Bedford, MA, aged 86 years, of paralysis, resided 68 Fourth Street.^[4]

He was a cooper by trade, but followed farming most of his life. He resided Bolton, MA.
