Francis7 Whitney (Francis6, Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), almost certainly son of Francis6 and Mary (Marshall) Whitney, was born 2 Aug 1822, Watertown, MA, and died 12 Sep 1900, North Paris, ME.[1]

He married, 18 Feb 1876, Boston, MA, Olive S. (Pingree) Littlehale, daughter of Hezekiah and Mary (Turner) Pingree.[2] She was born 10 Feb 1833, Norway, ME, and died 29 Jan 1899, North Paris, ME.[3]

Olive S. Pingree married firstly Joseph G. S. Littlehale. They had 4 children: Marcellus F., Carrie R., Adelbert D., and Joseph F. Littlehale. Joseph was a Civil War combatant, and died of disease while in the field. His widow and youngest son received pension benefits from the federal government. (See Civil War Pension File abstract.)[4]
