Israel6 Whitney (Joshua5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), born Worcester, Massachusetts, 6 Apr 1781; married in Worcester, 23 Feb 1799, Lucy Mahan; born 18 Oct 1780; died 16 Dec 1858. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts; was a farmer. He will is dated 28 Mar 1854, and proved 4 Mar 1856; resided Worcester, Massachusetts.

i. John7 Whitney, born 9 Apr 1820; married Martha Parks. ii. Sarah Whitney, born 13 Jun 1800; married Daniel Goddard. She died 21 Aug 1888; resided Worcester, Massachusetts. Son Luther D.; resided Worcester. iii. Nancy Whitney, born 8 Sep 1802; Capt. Bezaleel White. She died June 8, 1854; resided Worcester, Massachusetts and Paris, Maine. He was captain of the militia company that escorted Lafayette from Worcester to Boston in 1824. In 1828 he removed to Maine. He died June 27, 1874. - Ch.: Mary Ann, born 30 Apr 1825; died 30 Sep 1841; Lucy Jane, born 20 Jun 1827; married Francis E. Richards; resided Oxford; Eunice M., born 20 Aug 1830; married Paul Weixler; resided W.; Eliza W., born 7 Mar 1833; died Mar. 4 1872; Wm. B., born 18 Aug 1835, was colonel in the war; resided Quincy, Massachusetts; Sarah J., born 20 Oct 1837; died 30 Aug 1854; Geo. C., born 4 Apr 1843.

She died Mar. 23, 1862; resided Worcester. vii. Almira Whitney, born 2 Feb 1818; married 24 Nov 1836; Loren H. Wrisley of Norway, Maine; s. p. viii. Joshua Whitney, born 10 Mar 1815; married 28 Sep 1839, Caroline Pope. He died 2 Mar 1859, s. p.;resided Worcester, Massachusetts. ix. Eliza Whitney, born 17 Jan 1822; married Jan 28, 1846, David B. Fiske; resided Framingham, Massachusetts. He was born 13 Aug 1820. Ch.; Sarah Emma, born 15 Apr 1848; married 11 Feb 1886, Dr. Elisha M. White of Boston, who died 14 Jul 1890; Ella Whitney, born 1 Aug 1850. Both resided of F. x. Lucy M. Whitney, born 14 Jun 1809; married 1832, Asa Thayer of Paris, Maine. She died 15 Jan 1850.
