Horace B. Whitney, probably son of Horace Burnham8 and Lucetta (Frazier) Whitney, was born circa 24 May 1830,[1] IL and died 25 Dec 1882, Lima, Adams Co., IL.[2]
He married, 27 Sep 1860, Hancock Co., IL, Virginia Woodworth,[3] daughter of Hiram and Polly R. (Glenn) Woodworth. She was born 30 May 1838, Hancock Co., IL, and died before 1924.[4]
Children of Horace B. and Virginia (Woodworth) Whitney:

Notes
The fact that Horace B. Whitney and a putative sister Lucetta are listed in the family of Lucetta Fletcher in 1850, and Horace was still with her in 1860, lends great weight to the suggested parentage for them. Presumably Lucetta married secondly, after the older Horace's death, one ----- Fletcher, and had two more children, George W. and John, by him, and then Mr. Fletcher died before 1850. The IGI identifes her second husband, and father of George W. and John Fletcher, as James J. Fletcher, b. ca. 1805, KY, and d. ca. 1847.
