The WHITNEY-L mailing list is a means of sending out messages to a large number of individuals, all interested in the scholarly research of WHITNEY family history and genealogy. Currently there are about 100 members of the mailing list.

Messages are set to the e-mail address WHITNEY-L@rootsweb.com, and from there are redistributed to all those who have subscribed. Typical messages would be a query about someone named WHITNEY, or extracts of some record source involving persons named WHITNEY, or discussions of some problem in WHITNEY genealogy.
