This book was transcribed verbatim, including any misspellings and known genealogical errors. The Whitney Research Group will be adding links or notes to areas with proven genealogical errors. In this transcription, all surnames were capitalized, even though they weren't in the original. Also, any surname which was hyphenated and thus broken between two lines was rejoined to aid in searches. Other than these items, each line was left as it was in the original. Because the original used proportional fonts, this can make the right margin of the transcription uneven.
